Focusing on composites again, six more image will be added to the series “The Real World is Just an Illusion,” which is an open series that combines elements of two or more images together. This is the end of composites for a little while… I’ll be moving onto something a bit different involving multiple exposures and getting away from many of my abandoned environments.
In a long enough timeline everything becomes a cliche. Well, perhaps that’s one of the reasons I’m taking a break from abandoned environment photography. These four images really focus on the absurdity of life right now for me. They are personal in that they destroy many of the paradigms I had about a “deeper meaning.”
If you’re looking for one, don’t bother. There isn’t one. Maybe that’s the whole point.
The challenges that came from these images were lighting, color balance, camera blur, and masking complex elements like hair.
